Five tabs. One person, drinker to vendor.

This build adds the pieces the previous prototype didn't cover: a Learn tab for the novice who knows nothing, an onboarding quiz that builds a starting palate without needing a single logged cup, an Events tab wired to real SA competitions and cuppings, a visible free/premium split, and a vendor portal preview so a roaster can see what they'd actually get.

South African roasters and producers are ranked first by default: a green dot marks SA-roasted coffee throughout, and the shop's default sort favours local before it favours match score.

New this build

LearnBrewing-method cards linked to the same engine as the shop, a beginner→expert ladder, and a working flavour-wheel glossary, content, not filler, drawn from the research corpus.
Quiz6 questions, image-and-word led, builds a starting radar before a single cup is logged, closes the cold-start gap the earlier consumer directions had.
EventsSCASA Nationals, Creative Coffee Week, A Shot in the Dark, named, real, sourced, plus bookable roaster cuppings, all RSVP-able in the prototype.
PromotionsA sponsored-placement banner and a referral/ambassador program live on the shop and profile screens: the injection point the ecosystem needs to monetise beyond subscriptions.
PricingFree vs Mokha Plus at R249/year, pay-what-you-want, priced against Yuka’s proven R150–R350/yr band, not guessed. Vendor ladder R349/R749/R1,499 sits between Yoco and Shopify SA.
Vendor portalThree screens a roaster would actually see, stats, promotion/event creation, integrations (Yoco, PayFast, Pargo), reachable from You → "Open a counter."
SA priorityEvery bean and roaster carries an origin flag. Shop, Roasters and Events all default-sort South African first.

Site-wide audit, what was fixed

Type & colourSame 7-size scale, same 6-colour palette as the identity system, applied to every new screen without exception, no ad-hoc sizes were introduced building this out.
IconographyTab icons are hand-drawn line SVGs matched to the wordmark's stroke weight, not an icon font or emoji, which is the fastest way an app reads as templated.
HonestyThe pricing table, the quiz, and the vendor stats all say "prototype data" implicitly through consistent placeholder framing, nothing here claims to be a live account.
Still open before engineering Name/TM clearance · CVA Descriptive scale resolution · SARB question on holding vendor funds · PayFast/Paystack split-payout confirmation · Q-grader check on the altitude heuristic · and the competitor UX crawl (Trade Coffee, Bean Box, Driftaway, Flaviar) that should sharpen this quiz further once it lands.
